I Don't Get IT

Let me just start off by saying...I used to have a huge problem with this. I have since come to terms with the fact that for some bizarre reason this bring some kind of joy to men. Namely, my husband, Kenny. I am okay with this weird obsession as long as my children are not in the room .

I Just Don't Get IT!!

The above little sign is exactly why the Children are not allowed in the area of play. I guess it all goes back a few years when Halo was Kenny's favorite past time & he played it at home. Not too long after; the children, especially Will were exposed to the graphic nature that is War Games. Will began showing some interesting behavior.

Like, running around the house Violently and Screaming, "Suicide", then crashing to the floor.

Mind you he was 3yrs old. That's when I really put my foot down & said, Not in Front of the Kids.

"C.O.D." is the Newest craze! Really- Why?
Hours! They (Kenny, his brothers & friends) spend HOURS playing this.
Luckily it is usually at the Office or the Gertge Building. And anytime a wife has a girls night or is out of town, "IT Is ON"! Every other wife has to sacrifice their husband to the night of PlayStation or X Box. It's gotten so out of hand that every Friday is "Halo Friday".
They take half the day off of Work and just spend Hours killing each other & eating Pizza. Today tops it all off though! And I guess I am somewhat to Blame for taking the Kids to Annie tonight, because, "It Is ON!" Sorry girls!
Seriously, Halo Friday & now all evening & I'm sure well into the night.
I just don't get it. Maybe it is comparable to how Kenny feels about BLOGGING!

Abs,you took the words right out of my mouth. My husband is OBSESSED with these games and there have been times I go out at 4 in the morning and he is playing them (with all the young men in our ward). I better not let my husband see this post or he'll try to find out what Kenny's live username is. Seriously, what is the obsession?

The worst part is when they stay out all night and then can't function the next day because they are sooo tired!!
