"The WEIRDEST Family Night Ever!"

Warning: Very Lengthy & a bit graphic.

Yesterday started like any other day, Kenadee had school & the twins are out all week for spring break. We were running a little late, like any other day. Kenadee was bellyaching as usual & didn't want breakfast which was fine since she was very close to missing the bus. I packed her bag with some snacks and she was ready to head out the door when the Bellyache made it's self Very real. I will spare you all the gross details & just say she had an accident. Which to a first grader is extremely embarrassing, so it's good that she doesn't read my Blog.
Obviously she missed the Bus, and after composing herself thought she was fine to go to school. I let her. She seemed okay. Kenny took her to school and I got on the treadmill while the goofs played.
One Very sweaty hour later the phone rang and it was Kenadee. The Bellyache was back. I took a moment to figure how long it would take to be semi - presentable & dress the twins to go get Miss Sicko from school, & just decided to ask Kenny to go get her. It's nice when your hubby's office is a mile away.

She got home & the Bellyache had mysteriously vanished. I set it in my mind that she was working us over & decided to take herself a nice little day off. Especially when she headed right to the play room. She was stopped in her tracks. My philosophy is that if you are "Sick" you don't get to play. She was allowed to lay on the couch & read or go to bed. At this point she asked Kenny to take her Back to School.
She stayed home & lounged around for a while and actually ate quite normally when suddenly the bellyache striked! Full force. She spent much of the day in the Bathroom.
We had planned to have a little Preparedness Family Home Evening. There was a very short sentence on why we need to have food storage & then we were off to Sam's Club to stock up. Kenadee said that she could Not Go! We made her & she was great. She sat in the basket & felt "Fine". An hour or so into it she got really tired and was ready to go home. We were in the check out lane with two very large baskets over flowing When Kenny suggested that Kenadee make a bathroom break before we headed home.

We got her out of the basket and she let the HUGEST Burp I think I have Ever Heard. We started to walk to the bathroom & she began to gag. Suddenly there was a Projectile of Hot pink Vomit all over the Sam's club Floor. All that time in the bathroom all day & I had never even worried about throw up! Hot Pink from Gatorade, if you were wondering.
I was very calm & signaled to Ken to alert someone. We took one step & the Projectile happened again. By this point both our shoes & pants had said vomit all over them & we finally made it to the bathroom, where we cleaned her up the best we could.

"Are the owners going to be mad at me?" was all that she could say. Sweet little vomit covered Kenadee was so worried about who was going to have to clean it up. She felt a lot better though. And said, " This is the Weirdest Family Night Ever." Boy was she right. And it wasn't over!

We came out of the bathroom & made our way around the now "Cautioned" area & could not find Kenny. Our Huge baskets were there, but not him. We found him over by the ATM which was Broken! & He was trying to transfer money from our account because we forgot that Sam's Club Does Not take Credit Cards. Why???
Well, apparently we had made our limit of transfers over the Internet & phone for the month! (Stupid America First!!) and basically we were out of luck. In more ways that one.
Kenadee began to look a little green so I took her out to the car while Kenny & his two little helpers dealt with the $$$$ problem. He finally had to buy 3 drinks separately to get enough Cash back to buy our 2 baskets full of stuff. Oh, & he took my own precious birthday money to cover the rest. Which reminds me I Have to get that back!

Anyway, we got out of there alive and I have to admit that it Was the Weirdest Family Night Ever!
This morning Kenadee slept in till 8am & was starving when she woke. I was a little hesitant to feed her anything, but after 2 huge bowls of cereal she dashed off to the toy room & has been playing ever since. Hopefully it was a 24 hour bug & None of the rest of us will get it. Right? (Knock on wood).
That will be a FHE we won't soon forget!

After that FHE I'm not sure I would have one again! Just kidding. Sounds like you had a harder day then I did! Poor Kenadee! I hope she is feeling better and I really hope that no one else gets it. That could be a pretty embarassing "accident" for you or Kenny!

I am sorry but that really made me laugh! Sweet little Kenadee was worried about the owners being mad at her, too cute!

I totally understand. Ava started throwing up and having diaper explosions on Wed. morning for some reason. She has never been that sick ever. It broke my heart. She didn't get why she couldn't gulp down a bunch of water. I need to stop by and get Bob. Sorry I couldn't talk long that night on the phone. My family is so impatient and serious during game playing. I think you are smart to go private, I just hate when I want to see someones private blog. I want to do it but just have to get the ambition to email everybody. Anyhow, let me know when I can stop by. Fat cats looked super fun. You are such a darling family. Ok, this is getting long...laters

Poor girl! I'm thanking my lucky stars that Addison has never been sick like that. That has to be one of the bigger tests for a mother. I can't even imagine having to clean up after that! I hope she's better and back at school today. You are definitely invited to the next girls trip we have. Every mom needs a break sometimes.

Wow Ab! Not even sure how to respond to that one, other than glad you all survived with only hot pink covering your shoes! poor Kenadee!

We had that same bug about two weeks ago. It was so awful but just like that, kids are fine, then kids are puking and back and forth.

Glad you survived the FHE. Its one thing to be sick at home but a completely different story to have to deal with it in public poor little thing. And how sweet was she to worry about the store owners!

That is the worst! I feel so bad for her. Hey....at least it didn't happen at your house on your carpet :-) I did that several times when I was pregnant, it's so embarrassing! I hope the rest of you don't get it.

Poor poor Kenadee, and poor mom! There is nothing worse than throw-up.

So sorry!

Don't you love kids and the bodily fluids that come along with them? I feel like I forever smell like baby spit up and now that we are potty training Blaise it's like I talk about poo-poo and pee-pee all day. Life wouldn't be complete without it, right??
