This morning when Ken left for work & went out the garage, he realized we had left open both our garage doors. After his softball game last night me & the kids came in the garage & didn't close mine. Ken opened his side to take out the garbage cans and then he came in the front door. We check the Garage every night before bed. I was even prompted to as I walked by the door at one point in the evening, but dismissed it thinking Ken would check later! An OFFICE marathon later we were too tired to check the doors I guess.
Well, sometime in the night we were Robbed!! They got away with our unopened, never before used Air Compressor, All Ken's CD's & change from his console. He says they had taste 'cause they didn't touch my CD's. (not Celine Fans I guess)!
Here's the worst part!! They took Ken's beloved most treasured GOLF CLUBS!!
He didn't even seem mad till he realized those were gone.
That will set us back a pretty penny, because you Know he will be All About Replacing those, & fast.
This same thing happened last summer to Ken's brother Matt, that lives right across the street from us. (even took his air compressor). The funny thing is that we Always check every night! & the one time we leave them open, we get robbed!
Goes to show you what kind of weird-o's & thief's are our there!
So let this be a lesson to all of you to SHUT YOUR GARAGE DOOR AT NIGHT.
I know we will make sure we check.
So the cops are supposedly on their way....I'm sure there's not too much they will do, besides tell us how stupid we are for leaving it open, but we'll see. Ken thinks they left finger prints on some stuff. If there's anything worth reporting, I'll give an update later!

Geeze that is awful!! Yeah golf clubs will cost a pretty penny to replace!! One of Josh's managers who lives in Layton just had that happen to him about 2 weeks ago. I am so paranoid about our Garage too... I check it like 20 times before bed (I may be a little ocd about it). Well I am glad that everyone is ok... but I am sure you are feeling a little violated!! Sorry to hear about your rough day=(

I'm sorry Abby! I hate stuff like that because you feel so violated. Tim is pretty anal about the garage door so we have this little tiny thing in our kitchen that has a green light if the garage is shut and a blinking red one if it's open.
It sure didn't take him long to replace his stolen goods!
I am so sorry you guys! Why do people have to be like that, regardless of the garage being left open?! Good luck on the recovery or replacement of the items. Some people....... I just don't get it! I would never even think of taking something from someone's open garage!

Isn't that the worst feeling? We were burglarized 3 years ago when we were out of town. It upset me pretty badly. But I talked to my neighbor the other day and they've been burglarized something like 4-5times. I guess she has better stuff than we do. I think the burglars were pretty disppointed with the loot they got from us. It probably amounted to less than $50 worth of stuff. But it stiff makes you mad. Looks like Kenadee's birthday celebrations were a ton of fun!
I know how you feel. When our house was broken into it was so freaky. But, we dont have anything worth taking like you guys do. Sucks big time. Sorry about the missing clubs. Yes, people suck. Karma always gets you back though. That's a gauruntee.
