Body Worlds 3

This week we went to Body Worlds 3. It was amazing! The entire family Loved it! Yes!, we took our children even though it is "recommended for children 10 years & older". Kenadee, Will & Whitney were totally into it & behaved very well. Actually we were all amazed and enjoyed all it had to offer.

If you have no idea of what it is, check this out!

We went with Ken's brother Bob who is a Physicians Assistant & his family, which includes his wife Brooke and their 6 year old & 7 month old sons. Bob even talked to the kids & gave them little reasons & explanations for things we saw.

The kids were prepped plenty on what we would see, how they should behave, and that, yes the bodies are real. They were so excited to see what the inside of their bodies look like.

They had little notebooks & pencils for everyone to take...which the kids loved & Used!!
Will drew with much detail, almost everything he saw. I'm talkin' you could actually tell what he had sketched.

Kenadee said, "Wow! I always thought my heart was shaped like a HEART."

Whitney, who can't sit through a kid movie & who is Mrs. Restless, actually did really well & loved all the stages of the babies & how they grew & formed.

I thought it was a great opportunity to talk about & see how wonderful and intricate our bodies really are. Kenny & I took advantage of the lung display. Clean pink lungs compared to Black & Grey Smoker's lungs made it very easy to talk to the kids & show that we should never smoke!!

I'm totally into this kind of stuff. It might have something to do with the fact that my Step-dad is a Pathologist & that my parents worked in a Hospital while I was young.

We had a great experience. I absolutely recommend going. I believe it is here (SLC) till Jan. 11th.

It is an awesome exhibit! I was so glad to see that it was coming here to Utah, I saw it a couple years ago in Vegas. I thought the pregnancy/baby displays were amazing. It really is a cool think to check out. I am sure it will help your kids understand their bodies more.

Josh and I went on a date last night and we didn't know what to do... I totally told him I really wanted to go, but he didn't really want to! Kenny will have to tell him that it was cool so we can go some other time!! I am glad you guys had a fun time!

I have heard it is really cool, I really wanted to go until I saw the price and Dane was like...I used to work in a gross anatomy building I don't need to pay that much to see it again. So I am thinking maybe solo will be the only way I will get there. :)

It's on my list of things to do! I think that I want to be a doctor in my next life. I have a question about it, but you might get mad at me for posting it on the blog. I'll have to call you.

Do you suggest leaving Boston home if we go? or would it be okay? We may go on the 24th.

Body World 3 was in AZ last year & my sister Kristen & I went to it. It was awesome! I really loved the baby display as well. I think that should be a requirement for all high school students to go see.
