Saturday was Kendees Baptism.
It was a really nice day.
She was so excited all day & couldn't believe it was finally here.
We had lots of family & friends there to support her and she really felt special.

Weird, how having an 8yr. old makes you feel so Old. I guess it's because I remember my baptism, & maybe because We are getting Old.

At the FontShe did not however, feel that her "jumpsuit" was very special...but I've seen worse!
I wish I would have taken more pictures before & after.
During the actual baptism, Kenny who hasn't performed many since his mission 10 years ago said 1 word wrong & had to do it again. So, Kenadee got to be dunked twice!
In his defense, Kenny was translating from Spanish to English in his head & I'm sure was a little nervous also. It made it even that much more special. He later told her he did it on purpose so she would never forget that day. She knew he was kidding.
After, we went to the good old' Gertge Rec. Center for Dinner, where Kenadee got spoiled with cards, neclaces, books, figurines, a journal & a beautiful Quilt to help her remember the day that she made a Covenant with her Heavenly Father & became a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
We are proud of her & couldn't help but feel so incredibly blessed with where we are in life & with all that we have. We are blessed with so much and have 3 beautiful children. I am so thankful for the Gospel in my life. I'll stop there before I start bawling all over the place.

Wow... I can't believe she is 8! What an awesome day! It is so neat to see pictures of her and Kenny in white! Also I got dunked twice too, I think it happens a lot!! The water heater at the church was broken on my baptism day so my water was freezing!! Definitely won't forget that!
I'm so sorry we missed Kenadee's special day! I wish I could have made it down. Congrats Kenadee. What a big decision you made and what a GREAT ONE!
Hey I was dunked twice too!! I was baptized back in the day when girls wore dresses and my dress came up in the water.
