Please tell me you deal with this too!

Let me set the scene. A simple dinner.
Turkey Steaks, which she usually loves.
Rice (which she hates because it's flavored). So I don't give Her any rice.
Applesauce (which She hates so I cut up an apple just for her).
Green beans or some other veggie, which she gobbles up immediately.

Everyone has eaten, the table is cleared, the dishes get done & She is STILL sitting there. I gave the sweet darling 7 bites of Turkey Steak ( which she loves mind you), that's it. 7.
And She still sits there for 2 Hours after we are all done, till it is gone!!

BTW: She was Not forced to finish! She could have been "Done" when ever She wanted, but then she couldn't have had any Oreo's & Ice Cream for dessert or anything else for the rest of the night.

THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK!!!! Always Kenadee

Notice, how it's all packed away in her cheeks. She has done this her entire life.....like if she packs it in there it will just disappear.
She eventually ate it all. I did give in & reheat it towards the end!
Please tell me you deal with this too!!

Oh Abby, that is great! I can't believe she sits there that long! And yes we deal with this. Brynlie's favorite thing to say before EVERY dinner is, "I don't like that" before she even knows what we are having! I hate it. She rarely eats dinner, or lunch for that matter. When you solve this problem, let us know!

Trying not to laugh, but I can't help it.
She is one determined little girl.

Just be thankful you don't have to force your HUSBAND to eat veggies, because yes, I do. I have to tell him he has to start being a good example for the kids. Poor Mike.

That's hysterical. No, you are not the only parent who has resorted to those tactics to get your kids to eat. Mine would just give up and figure the dessert wasn't worth it! Although, if you've seen Alex you can tell he doesn't miss many meals!

That is so funny! Brecklynn stores things in her cheeks too and it drives me CRAZY! She will walk around with it for an hour till I finally dig it out. I am surprised she sat there willingly. She cracks me up. She must have really wanted that ice cream.

I can't believe she sat there for 2 hours. Good for you, not giving in. I do the same thing with mine. they don't have to finish it but there is nothing else the whole night.

Too funny! I have the same issues with Mia. All she ever wants is dessert, not dinner! Only Mia won't sit there for 2 hours she will go off and play then come back saying she wants dessert and when I say no she finds her plate that is still sitting there and eats it. KIDS!!!

Isn't being a parent a riot. You always hope you're doing the right thing...you don't want to be a push over or scar them for life :) I remember asking to go to the bathroom growing up then shoving all the brocolli in my mouth before leaving to spit in the toilet. Funny thing...LOVE brocolli now. Malachi spent hours at the dinner table alone. It is so fun to see your family, they are soooo cute!! I love hearing your Mom stories. By the way I am super sad I had to work the Saturday you all went camping. Please invite us again. We'd love to go. Someone told me that Cherry Hill is pretty fun. We should take the kids there, even if the boys are working or something. That kangaroo jumping place sounds pretty fun by our house too. This Fri. is my b-day and Sat. I work, then we go to Arizona the 20-27....we should get together when we get back. Or us girls during the days. Ok, like Mal always says I talk to much so laters.
