A Date Night!

Thursday night, Kenny's usual softball game was canceled or something so, we had a free night. We decided to go out on a little date. We had a few gift certificates which is always nice, so we used them.
This is where we ate. It's in Ogden on 25th street.
It was super tasty. I got Sesame crusted Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes & steamed veggies. Ken got Pasta with Chicken that was very yummy.
For all of you that have ever been out to eat with us. You are laughing at the pasta & Chicken. That's Kenny's usual anywhere we go.
I on the other hand like to try anything & took the waitresses recommendation & it was wonderful!

For dessert we split this Delicious Creme Brulee. It was awesome!!!
After we went to the Ogden Theater where we also had gift cert. I really wanted to see Hancock.

Ken said he heard it was pretty lame & that it was short.

We went anyways..He He..(we had to hurry home to the sitter!) We rarely get a neighbor girl, but did this time & the kids loved her as usual.

I really liked this movie. It was a little different than I thought it would be, but I was very entertained & it was pretty funny. I didn't even know Carlize Theron was in it & she is my favorite, so that was a bonus. She's totally hot! Kenny also enjoyed it. The movie!!

Here's a question for you: When you get a neighbor girl to baby sit....How much do you pay? Hourly?/by kid?

I'm interested to know

How fun! Date nights are few and far between. I pay hourly and per kid. I pay $3 per hour per kid...in my neighborhood most people pay $2.50 per hour/kid. I have the "working Mom guilt" so we rarely go out and not take the kids :-(

Sounds like a fun date. Here in Minnesota most people pay $5 for the first child and $1 more for each child.

I don't know...I have yet to pay for a babysitter between our four sets of grandparents. Let me know what the outcome is for when we do have to pay. :)

Proud of you for using your gift certificates. I once heard that 60% of them are never used. Yikes.
We haven't had a neighborhood sitter yet. We can't afford them.

We haven't had to get a sitter yet (I have the working mom guilty feeling too so I hardly ever leave him) and when I do, it's to Nick's mom. Sorry I'm no help but I would love to hear everyone's opinion so I do know how much to pay in the future.

We go out 2 - 3 times a month because we don't have family around to help us out so we always have to rely on babysitters! It's my sanity! Anyways we pay $5 an hour (in Washington) and throw in a bonus if the house is clean. Remember when we were young you would babysit for like 6 hours and get a check for $12 - it seemed like a great deal...back then!

I'm the biggest cheap skate. I try to get away with paying the least I can. I have a little 12 year old that babysits for 1.50 per kid with 5 max. She's who I usually call!
Your blog gets cuter everyday. How do you change the top to look like a scrapbook?
I'm going to call you this week, I think I'm going to cut my hair...the whole thing. Do I dare?
